With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Wayne "Hot Dog" Sheridan of Vilna, Alberta would like to announce his passing on Monday, September 30, 2024 at the age of 67.
Wayne was born in Lindsay, Ontario and grew up with a house full of siblings. The family farm was the gathering place and the many cousins shared lots of laughter and many shenanigans! He worked hard on the oil rigs for many years, and most recently, he enjoyed working and spending time with the animals on the farm. Wayne played hard too; his passion for fishing was shared with his cherished grandchildren Wayne and Jamie.
He was also very passionate about hockey and could hardly wait each year for the season to get started. Even though Wayne lived in Alberta, he was a Leafs fan first and foremost!
Wayne was a larger than life character with a big, warm heart who loved his family very much and was very good at making everyone laugh. He will be missed dearly.
Wayne is lovingly survived by his wife of 39 years: Linda Sheridan of Vilna, AB; grandchildren: Wayne Sheridan of Saskatoon, SK, Jamie-Lynn Brook Sheridan of St. Paul, AB; siblings: Tim Sheridan, Kimberly Rose, Heather Sheridan, Tamara (Ted) Schendera, Layne (Laura) Sheridan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his daughters: Jamie-Lynn Jessica Sheridan, Brook Sheridan; son: Nathan Sheridan; parents: Grant & Althea Sheridan.
As per Wayne's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
