Walter Nicholas Kardash

It is with broken hearts that the family announces their beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Walter Nicholas Kardash of Iron River, Alberta, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the age of 72 years.

Walter is leaving to mourn with cherished memories his loving wife of 51 years: Susanne Kardash; children: Steven (Amanda) Kardash, Christina (Garrett) Wiebe, Raymond (Krista) Kardash; grandchildren: Jenelle Kardash, Riley Kardash, Zachary Wiebe, Alex Wiebe, Eleanor Kardash, Diana Kardash, Nicholas Kardash, Anneliese Kardash; mother-in-law: Helen Sarawanski; siblings: Linda (Mike) Krywiak, Roseanne Kardash, Ron (Claudette) Kardash, Dennis Kardash, Carol Sarawanski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Walter is predeceased by his son: Nicholas John Kardash; brother: Danny Kardash; parents: Nicholas & Mary Kardash; grandparents: Danilo & Maria Kardash, Steven Pilipchuk & Anna Demediuk; father-in-law: John Sarawanski; brother-in-law: David Sarawanski; and nephew: Christopher Sarawanski.

Prayer Service, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta.

Divine Liturgy, Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Iron River, Alberta, with Father Roman Kobyletskyy officiating. Pallbearers: Steven Kardash, Raymond Kardash, Garrett Wiebe, Lesley Kardash, Anthony Sarawanski, Taras Krywiak. Final resting place: St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Iron River, Alberta.
