Vivian Marie (Dumont) Nelson

With saddened hearts, the family of Vivian Marie Carol Nelson of Cold Lake, Alberta share the passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt on Friday, July 17, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

Vivian will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 56 years Norman Nelson; children: Vern (Brianna) Nelson of Kelowna, BC, Shannon (Warren) Schumacher of Cold Lake, AB; grandchildren: Maddison (Jordan) Brown, Kendel Schumacher, Alexia Krook, Kyann Krook; great grandchild: Brodie Brown; sisters: Grace (Irvin) Scott, Audrey Poitras, Isabel (Marshall) Myshaniuk; sister-in-law: Jeannie Dumont; daughter-in-law: Valerie Krook; as well as numerous family members and friends.

Vivian is reuniting with her parents: Sam & Mabel Dumont; brothers: Thomas Dumont, Victor Dumont, Gabriel Dumont; sister: Jean Dumont; parents-in-law: Kenneth & Betty Nelson.

In honour of Vivian’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Vivian’s Life will be held Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Norm & Viv’s home in Cold Lake, AB. Final Resting Place, Lakeview Cemetery, Cold Lake, AB.
