Vinson Carlisle Ross Ochuschayo

With great sadness, the family of Vinson Carlisle Ross Ochyschayo of Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan announces that the sun set for him on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the age of 37 years.

Vinson is lovingly survived by his sons: Desmond Yooya, Andre Ochuschayo, Aiden Ochuschayo; daughters: Alicia Sutherland, Aalliyah Ochuschayo, Alexis Ochuschayo; mother of his children: Tasheena Sutherland; parents: Vallerina Singer, Ross Ochuschayoo; brothers: Russell (Rebecca), Rayce (Kara), Vaughan (Judy), River (Racquel), Bryton, Trent, Maverick; sisters: Vienna (JJ), Cree, Teagan, Leah, Danica; grandfather: Stan Partridge; grandmother: Mary Ochuschayoo; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and everyone who loved him.

Vinson is going into the arms of his brothers: Morgan Kahpeepatow (1986), Chance Oseemeemow (2025); grandmother: Emma Singer; grandfather: Peter Sandfly. 

Wake, Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. (SK time)/4:00 p.m. (AB time), Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake, Alberta at 4:00 p.m. (SK time)/3:00 p.m. (AB time).

Funeral Service, Friday, December 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. (SK time)/10:00 a.m. (AB time), Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan with the Band Elders officiating. Pallbearers: Brendan Partridge, Warren Joseph, Kevin Jr. Stick, Brett Joseph, Waylon Joseph, Brent Ochuschayoo. Honorary Pallbearers: all who knew Vinson. Final Resting Place, Big Island Lake Cemetery, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.
