Theresa Marie McDonald

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Theresa Marie McDonald of Cold Lake, Alberta are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and sister at the age of 89 years.

Theresa will be lovingly remembered by her children: James McDonald, Steven (Michelle) McDonald, George  McDonald, Elizabeth McDonald; grandchildren: Trysten Doucet, Sebastian Doucet, Sydney Doucet, Serenity McDonald; sister: Elizabeth Gienow; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband: James Ronald Roy McDonald in 2009; parents: Arsene & Marie Arsenault; sister: Marie Perry; brothers-in-law: Clarence Perry, Earl Gienow.

Prayer Service, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake, Alberta with Father Limneo Zamora officiating.

Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Cold Lake, Alberta with Father Limneo Zamora as celebrant. A live-stream and recording of the service will be made available on our website.  Pallbearers: Don Cassidy, George McDonald, Mark Ballard, Tim Lefebvre, Dustin Walker, Rudy Ramirez.  Honorary Pallbearers: Christina Faithful, Garry Farrer, Conrad Desnoyers, Olive Desnoyer, Larry Comeau, Susy Cyr-Todd.

Theresa’s family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Points West Living, Cold Lake, for their friendship and caring for Theresa during the three years she was there, the Palliative care staff at Cold Lake Hospital, Dr. Ubabukoh, home care nurses and managers, the faith community at Assumption Church and all those who asked how Theresa was doing.
