On Monday, March 28, 2022, Theodore “Ted” Slipchuk of Bonnyville, Alberta passed away peacefully at the age of 99 years and went to be with the Lord.
After arriving to Canada in 1927, at the age of 4 years, Ted later set-up his homestead in LaCorey and raised a beautiful family with his wife, Annie. Ted’s legacy will be forever remembered by his three loving sons: Peter (Connie) Slipchuk of Calgary, AB, Donny (Candace) Slipchuk of Bonnyville, AB, Bruce Slipchuk of Bonnyville, AB; two daughters: Linda Kalinski of Iron River, AB, Lillian Kalinski of Hazelridge, MB; daughter-in-law: Betty Slipchuk of Smoky Lake, AB; nineteen grandchildren: Avis (Bruce) Friedel, Michelle (Craig) Palichuk, Curtis (Ellie) Kalinski, Lorne (Nita) Kalinski, Travis Slipchuk, Kara (Adam) Edwardson, Kimberly (David) Feser, Kelsey Kalinski, Kevin (Lisa) Kalinski, Kendal (Mari) Slipchuk, Ryan (Kaitlyn) Kalinski, Courtney (Todd) Antoniuk, Allison (Dave) Jansen, Talena Slipchuk, Duane (Michelle) Slipchuk, Ashley (Dustin) Blake, Jessie Ouimet, Amos (Chian) Slipchuk, Kyle (Brianne) Slipchuk; thirty-nine great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law: Helen Slipchuk of Bonnyville, AB, Mary Kolody of Bonnyville, AB, Connie Kolody of Thunder Bay, ON, Rose Slipchuk of Edmonton, AB; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.

Ted was predeceased by his wife: Annie on June 3, 2011; son: John on Feb. 22, 2009; parents: Paul & Cecile Slipchuk; parents-in-law: John & Pauline Kolody; two sisters: Katie Galick, Florence Gandecki; two brothers: Alexander, Roy; two sons-in-law: Edward Kalinski, Jerry Kalinski; three brothers-in-law: Edward Galick, John Kolody, William Kolody.

Public Visitation, Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville.
Funeral Service, Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., Bonnyville Pentecostal Church, Bonnyville with Pastor Jairo Leandro officiating. Pallbearers: Bruce Slipchuk, Don Slipchuk, Kyle Slipchuk, Kevin Kalinski, Duane Slipchuk, Kelsey Kalinski. Honorary Pallbearers: All the Bonnyville Health Centre, Long Term Staff.
Final Resting Place, Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Beaver River Hill, AB.
A luncheon will follow at St. Louis Parish Hall.
