Simon Sparklingeyes

With deep sadness, the family of Marvin "Simon" Sparklingeyes of Goodfish Lake, Alberta announces that the sun set for their beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Friend on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 75 years.

Simon is survived by his wife of 50 years: Ruby Sparklingeyes; children: Lorna (Leon) Jackson-Littlewolfe,  Deanna (Clarence) Sparklingeyes, Lisa Sparklingeyes, Henry (Vanessa) Sparklingeyes, Shane (Melanie) Sparklingeyes; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; siblings: Ray (Janice) Sparklingeyes, Velma Memnook; Doreen Makokis, Alex (Vera) Sparklingeyes; brother-in-law: Marvin Quinney; sisters-in-law: Betty Sparklingeyes and Mary Memnook; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Simon was predeceased by his son: Kevin Sparklingeyes; parents: Marcus & Florence Sparklingeyes; brothers: Edgar Sparklingeyes, Henry Sparklingeyes; sister: Victoria Quinney; grandchildren: Rosalynne Littlewolfe, twin grandchildren in infancy; brothers-in-law: Allan Makokis, Joseph Memnook.

Wake, Monday, March 27, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, Alberta at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral Service, Wednesday March 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta with Pastor Jon Siebert  officiating.   Pallbearers: BJ Wapass, Billy Peter Wapass Jr., Clarence Sparklingeyes, Joey Memnook, Brent Makokis, Mackenzie Sparklingeyes, Paycen Cardinal, Laine Collins; honorary pallbearers are all his friends. Final Resting Place, Protestant Cemetery, Goodfish Lake, Alberta.
