Rose Niederer (nee Vasseur)

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Rose Niederer (nee Vasseur) of Bonnyville, Alberta sadly announces her passing on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 93 years.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her children: Cathie Vallee, Renee (Gill) Vincent, Laurie Anne (Bill) Thornton, Treena Marie (Douglas) Kurek.

Grandchildren: Daniel (Fatima) Vallee, Angèle Rose (Dan) Heney, R.J. Vallee, Janelle Vincent, Jérad (Kim) Vincent, Devan (Paige) Vincent, Amber (Christian) Yoingco, Abbie Marie Thornton, Alison Rose (Eric) Lee, Andrew (Liz) Thornton, Ian Kurek (Kristen Ainlay), James Kurek, Kirsten Marie Kurek (Nathan Kohlert).

Great grandchildren: Sophie, Jonah, Kimberly, Gabriel, Julia, Jacqueline Rose, Élise, Genevieve, Vince, Sara Rose, C.J., Mareena Rose, Kiarra, Elias, Rylie Marie, L.J., Jovie, Aiven Rose, Kenzo, Tessa, and Amy-Rose.

Sister-in-law: Dianne Vasseur; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rose was predeceased by her husband: Alfred Niederer.

Parents: Frederic and Olivine (nee Poulin) Vasseur.

Brothers: George (Mildred) Vasseur, Henry Vasseur.

Sister: Alice (Rod) Sabourin.

Nieces: Joan Vasseur, Debra Vasseur.

Nephew: Rudy (Doodie) Sabourin.

Prayer Service: Friday, August 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, AB.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, AB with Father Rene Realuyo as Celebrant.

Pallbearers: Rose’s grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers: Rose’s granddaughters.

Final resting place, Holy Family Cemetery, Bonnyville, AB.
