Ronald "Ron" James Pelechosky

The family of Ronald “Ron” James Pelechosky of Cold Lake, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother on Friday, July 10, 2026 at the age of 89 years.

Ron found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured every moment spent with family and friends. He loved fishing and boating, and was especially proud of the smoked fish he prepared. Many of his happiest days were spent at the lake or camping, enjoying the outdoors. Ron was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching curling, hockey, and baseball, and he also looked forward to friendly card games with those he loved. Whether he was chopping wood, meeting friends for coffee at A&W, or sharing stories and laughter, Ron's warm spirit and appreciation for life's everyday moments will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of beautiful memories is his cherished wife of 49 years: Mary Pelechosky of Cold Lake, AB; children: Terry (Debra) Pelechosky of Cold Lake, AB, Brenda Brouwer (Leo Fillion) of Cold Lake, AB, Don (Maryann) Pelechosky of New Braunfels, Texas, Lori (Steve) Hamilton of Cold Lake, AB, Brenda (Darren) Leask of Beaumont, AB, Jim (Cara) Francis of Beaumont, AB; grandchildren: Ashley (David) Jevne, Kimberly Pelechosky, Ronnie Pelechosky, Joelle (Jordan) Salzl, Meghan (Jared) Tanguay, Jenni (Cody) Warman, Cindi (Cory) Lamb, Colton Pelechosky, Maddi (Kevin) Hense, Brooke (Logan) Kurlovich, Stacey (Mike) Koutzun, Blake (Camila) Leask, Kyle Francis, Ryann Francis; sixteen treasured great grandchildren; sister: Anne (Bert) Willerton of Vernon, BC; Ron will also be remembered by his extended family & friends.

Ron was predeceased by his son: Jim Pelechosky; parents: Peter & Dorothy “Buzzy” Pelechosky; son-in-law: Fred Brouwer.

Celebration of Life, Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Lakeland Lutheran Church, Cold Lake, AB with Pastor Anna Thede officiating.
