The family of Ronald "Ron" Alexander MacKinnon of Cold Lake, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the age of 92 years.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories is his wife of 71 years: Dorothy MacKinnon of Cold Lake, AB; children: Tami (Brad) Boychuk of Cold Lake, AB, Gary MacKinnon (Nancy Chamberlain) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren: Meghan (Keith) Baran, Kyle (Brittany) McGauley, Shannon MacKinnon, Katie MacKinnon, Bryan (Rachel) Boychuk, Alexander Boychuk, Katherine (Wade) Heidler, Ivan Boychuk; treasured great grandchildren: Anna, Caleb, Ben, Carolyn, Rozlyn, Melody, Lily, Noah, Tobias, Arwen; as well as many friends and extended family members.
Ron was predeceased by his parents: Donald & Janet MacKinnon; brothers: Donald MacKinnon, Bill MacKinnon.
Service of Remembrance, Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion Branch 211, Cold Lake, Alberta with Reverend Stephen Sparks officiating. Final Resting Place, Lakeview Cemetery, Cold Lake, Alberta at a later date.
