It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob Claude, who peacefully passed away on the morning of December 24, 2025 at the age of 75 after a brief battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Bob’s honour at Willow Prairie Hall in La Corey on January 10th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Bob was born on December 2, 1950, in Swan Lake, Manitoba, where he lived with his family until the age of ten, when they moved to Bashaw, Alberta. It was in Bashaw where Bob met the love of his life, Brenda (Whitney). Together they shared 54 years of marriage and raised three children; Bree, Cass and Dean.
Bob and Brenda built a beautiful life together which led them to a farm north of La Corey, where they lived for 46 years. Bob spent most of his career with Imperial Oil and was a steady and respected leader. He was never more at peace than when he was at home on the farm or spending time at the family’s lake lot at Crane Lake. Bob loved hunting, fishing, wood working, gardening, and visiting with cherished friends and family. Bob was a founding member of the Willow Prairie Agricultural society and together with his wife Brenda, an active member of the community.
Bob is lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Brenda Claude; their daughter, Bree Claude (Shane Kaminsky), and their sons Cass Claude (Angalee Claude), and Dean Claude (Leanne Claude).
Bob’s legacy will live on in his 7 grandchildren: Megan Claude, Courtney Stuparyk (Eric Stuparyk), and Colton Claude (fiancée Natalie Thompson), Sloan Kaminsky, Archer Claude, Nick Kaminsky and Isla Claude.
Bob is also survived by his brother Maurice Claude (Jan) of Winnipeg and sisters Anita Breitmeier (Ed) of Bashaw and Darlene Eisenrieder of Calgary, Alberta, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Marguerite Claude and his sister Aline Euchner.
Bob’s legacy of love, dedication, and quiet strength will continue to live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those wishing to honour Bob’s memory may make a donation to “Haying in the 30s”.
- Respectfully submitted by the family
Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
