The family of Peter Drapaka of Bonnyville, Alberta is saddened to share the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the age of 79 years.

Peter is remembered by his loving wife Joyce Drapaka; children: Shawn (Michelle) Drapaka, Trevor (Jaime) Drapaka; cherished grandchildren: Logan, Addison, Hunter, Brooke; mother-in-law: Julia Krawiec; brothers: Albert Drapaka (Irene), Eugene (Colleen) Drapaka; sisters: Tillie Chudyk, Diana (Richard) Hallwachs, Judy Drapaka (Don) as well as Peter’s in-laws, extended family and friends.

Peter is predeceased by his granddaughter: Lexanna Rose Drapaka; parents: George & Mary Drapaka; sister: Patricia Capowski; father-in-law: James (Jim) Krawiec; brothers-in-law: Eli Chudyk, Brian Toma

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Beaver River Fish and Game building in Bonnyville, AB, with Reverend Stephen Sparks officiating. Honorary pallbearers: Logan, Addison, Hunter, Brooke, Zenon, Talen. Private family inurnment to take place at a later date.
