Murray "Gordon" Penny

With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Murray "Gordon" Penny of Cold Lake, Alberta announces the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 75 years.

Gordon is lovingly survived by his wife of 37 years: Judy Penny of Cold Lake, AB; two children: Sam (Kim) Penny of Sherwood Park, AB, Lindsey Penny (Wade Hartel) of Edmonton, AB; cherished grandson: Leo Hartel of Edmonton, AB; sister: Kathleen (Paul) Leslie of Scone, Scotland; brother-in-law: Howard Polinsky (Lynda Colvey) of Cold Lake, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members

Gordon was predeceased by his parents: Nathaniel & Beatrice Penny; sister: Maureen Wight; brother-in-law: Ronnie Wight; father-in-law: Hal Polinsky.

Celebration of Gordon's Life, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., Community Baptist Church, Cold Lake, AB with Pastors Phil Crump & Heather Hiebert officiating.

The Penny family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the palliative care team on the third floor of the Cold Lake Health Centre and the Cold Lake Health Unit homecare palliative nurses. And a very special thank you to Dr. Khan for his compassion and outstanding care of Gordon.
