On Monday, July 20, 2026, to the deep sadness of her family and friends, the sun set for Misty McGilvery, at the age of 49 years. Left to treasure her memory are her mother, Cindy McGilvery; father, Lyman McGilvery; kokoms: Mary O, Gloria Moosewah; grandchildren: Kai, Dakota, Dylan, Daxton; special nieces & nephews: Rowena, Kaleel, Roper, Lyric; sister, Larrisa Crane; aunties: Eva (Dennis), Cora, Linda; Pahtayken Family; special sisters: Karen, Karla, Kim, Renee, Shauna, Wanda, Tracey, Chrissy, Penny, Lori, Janice, Pam, Jamie, Shirley, Judy, Reanna, Maggie; numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives.
Misty was predeceased by her son, Trent Cardinal; daughter, Tara-Jean Cardinal; brother, Dusty McGilvery; nephew, Landon McGilvery; grandparents: Joe & Maggie Moosewah, Louis & Emma McGilvery.
Misty will be going home to Onchaminahos School Gymnasium, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta for a one-night Wake on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, St Paul at 3:30 p.m.
Funeral Service, Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., Onchaminahos School Gymnasium, Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta, with Pastor Linda Burns officiating.
Final Resting Place, Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake, Alberta.
