Marlene Linda (Smith) Eaton

It is with broken hearts that the family of Marlene Linda Eaton of Onoway, Alberta announces her passing on August 1, 2025 at the age of 67 years. Marlene will be forever remembered by her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Donald; children: Don (Maya) Eaton, Tracy (Donald) Schweigert, April (Shane) Dooley, Paige (Scott) Morgan; grandchildren: Gabriella, Donelle, Abbigail, Cole, Kiera, Aleasha, Terry, Jesse, Alex, Nakayla, Silas, Raiven, Maci, Audrey, Gunnar; brothers: Ken Smith, Everett Smith, Leland Smith; sister: Koreen (Patrick) Diemert. 

Marlene was predeceased by her parents Ernest & Susan Smith; sisters: Josephine Lockrem, Darlene Cardinal.

Funeral Service, Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta. With Pastor Dwyane Mitchell officiating.

Final Resting Place, Beaverdam Community Cemetery, Beaverdam, Alberta. Pallbearers: Shane Dooley, Nakayla Dooley, Silas Dooley, Scott Morgan, Aleasha Eaton-Borja, Terry Eaton-Borja, Jesse Schweigert, Kiera Eaton.  Honorary Pallbearers: Alex Schweigert, Donelle Eaton, Abbigail Eaton, Cole Eaton.

Marlene’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Sturgeon Community Hospital, St. Albert for their compassion care and the staff from Spruce View Manor in Gibbons, AB for going above and beyond while she lived there since Jan. 15, 2025.
