With grateful hearts for a lifetime of cherished memories, the family of Margaret Charlotte Gadwa of Kehewin First Nation, Alberta regretfully announces that the sun set for her on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Margaret is lovingly survived by her children: Tammy Gadwa (Arnold John), Yvette (Wayne) Lessard, Teresa Gadwa (Elmer Badger), Wendy Gadwa, Kuna Gadwa (Wade Whitstone), Jason Gadwa; God children: Tanya Badger, Keith Badger; traditionally adopted children: Leo McGilvery, Curtis Windyboy, Reggie Mountain, Ernest Gadwa, Barb Gadwa, Eugena Mountain, Deborah John, Jessica Ray, Janine Patrick, Sheri Gadwa; grandchildren: Brittany (Junior), Troy, Brett, Stephanie, Samantha, Tressa (Drae), Trey, Trenton, Kenley, Jayden; great grandchildren: Brock, Doms, Drake, Jaydis, Jaxxon, Peyton, Hayden, Sophia, Ellie, Juliette, Blake, Bradley, Aly, Brayden, Olivia, Marc, Gabriella and baby Wright and baby Gadwa who are on the way; great great grandchild: Ryder; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Margaret is going into the arms of her husband: Marc Gadwa (July 9, 2011); parents: Augustine & Sarah Steinhauer; brothers: Archie Steinhauer, Walter Steinhauer; sister: Ruby Makokis; nieces: Darlene Steinhauer, Cheryl Steinhauer; granddaughter: Crystal Favel; parents-in-law: Henry & Theresa Gadwa; brothers-in-law: Wayne Gadwa, Johnny Gadwa; sister-in-law: Irene Gadwa; nephew: Dwayne Keewatin; niece: Delores Keewatin.
Wake, Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:30 p.m., Kehewin Band Hall, Kehewin First Nation, Alberta.
Funeral Service, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., Kehewin Band Hall, Kehewin First Nation, Alberta with Father Jhack Diaz officiating. Pallbearers: Arnold John, Wade Whitstone, Ernest Gadwa, Neil Makokis, Keith Kowerchuk, Reggie Mountain; honorary pallbearers: Constable Darren Clark, Gordon Gadwa, Eric Gadwa, Audrey, Carrie, Violet, Eleanor, Emily, Jenny, Doreen, Evelyn, Louise, Florence, Helen, Dr. Leonard DeFreitas, Angie, Pearl.
