Léo George Ducharme

As they reflect on a lifetime of beautiful memories, the family of Léo George Ducharme of Bonnyville, Alberta would like to announce his passing on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the age of 78 years; just 3 days after celebrating his 52nd wedding anniversary with his beloved wife.

Léo is lovingly survived by his cherished wife, Marguerite Ducharme; children: Angèle Ducharme, Natalie Ducharme, Michel (Candace) Ducharme, Alain (Nina) Ducharme, Jacques (Cathy) Ducharme; grandchildren: Dominic Alexander, Noah (Breanna) Alexander, Jocelyne Johnson, Drake Johnson, Éliane Ducharme, Gaston Ducharme, Xavier Ducharme, Chloe Ducharme, Edie Ducharme, Harlow Ducharme; great grandson: Braxton Alexander; mother: Bérengère Ducharme; brother: Fernand (Corinne) Ducharme; sisters: Rose Carlson, Hélène (Ron) Nykiforuk; Léo will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Léo was predeceased by his son: Serge Luc Ducharme; father: Ernest Ducharme; brother: André “Andy” Ducharme.

Service of Remembrance, Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Léo will be laid to rest at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta at a later date.

En se remémorant une vie de beaux souvenirs, la famille de Léo George Ducharme de Bonnyville, Alberta, annonce son décès survenu le jeudi 19 février 2026 à l'âge de 78 ans, seulement 3 jours après avoir célébré son 52e anniversaire de mariage avec son épouse bien-aimée.

Léo laisse dans le deuil son épouse chérie, Marguerite Ducharme; ses enfants : Angèle Ducharme, Natalie Ducharme, Michel (Candace) Ducharme, Alain (Nina) Ducharme, Jacques (Cathy) Ducharme; ses petits-enfants : Dominic Alexander, Noah (Breanna) Alexander, Jocelyne Johnson, Drake Johnson, Éliane Ducharme, Gaston Ducharme, Xavier Ducharme, Chloe Ducharme, Edie Ducharme, Harlow Ducharme ; son arrière-petit-fils : Braxton Alexander; sa mère : Bérengère Ducharme; son frère : Fernand (Corinne) Ducharme; ses sœurs : Rose Carlson, Hélène (Ron) Nykiforuk. Léo sera également regretté par ses nombreux neveux et nièces, sa famille élargie et ses amis.

Léo fut précédé par son fils : Serge Luc Ducharme; son père : Ernest Ducharme; son frère : André “Andy” Ducharme.

Un Service commémoratif aura lieu le samedi 28 février 2026 à 11 h 00 à l'église catholique romaine St. Louis, Bonnyville, Alberta, officié par le Père Rene Realuyo.

Léo sera inhumé au cimetière catholique romain Holy Family, Bonnyville, Alberta, à une date ultérieure.
