Joseph "Papa Joe" Horwath Obituary
With broken hearts, the family of Joseph Michael Horwath of Lloydminster, Alberta, formerly of Cold Lake, Alberta, announces that he passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 56 years.
Joe, who was known affectionately as "Papa Joe," was born on September 29, 1968, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Joseph dedicated his career to his passion as an Auto Body Repair Technician; he was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in his craft.
Joe is lovingly remembered and survived by his children: Dragon Michael Horwath, Sapphire Elizabeth-Lynn Horwath; grandson: Phoenix Ambrose Horwath; his mother: Elizabeth Wiebe; siblings: Ernie Horwath, Duanne Cyr, Dylan Phaneuf, Gregg Cyr, Mark Cyr, Ken Cyr, Guy Cyr, Tom Cyr, Michelle Cyr-L'Heureux, and Betty Khobr; Joe also leaves behind his nephew: Keegan Horwath; niece: Keisha Horwath and her children: Jace, Ky, Autumn,
Joe was predeceased by his daughter: Diamond Horwath; father: Jacob Wiebe; brother: Ken Horwath.
Funeral Service, Friday, October 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta.
Joe will be laid to rest next to his beloved daughter Diamond, at Lakeview Cemetery, Cold Lake, Alberta.
