With shattered hearts, the family of Jameson Caleb Waskahat-Dion of Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta announces his unexpected passing on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at just 3 months old.
Though his time here was far too short, Jameson touched many lives and brought immense joy to his parents: Anna Marie Dion & Trenton Waskahat; proud big brother: Jiraiya Caleb Waskahat-Dion; kôhkoms: Betsy Dion, Kristy Waskahat, Tiffany Waskahat, Alice Pipe, Shellaine Waskahat, Nicki Waskahat, Maryn Waskahat; mosôms: William Dion, Jeff Cardinal, Josh Waskahat, Justin Waskahat; aunties: Rebecca (Mike) Cardinal, Diane (Lee) Watchmaker, Louisa Youngchief, Lana (Jimmy Paul) Badger, Kandy Dion, Tarren Cardinal, Talia Cardinal, Leanna Cardinal, Lyric Cardinal; uncles: Colin (Cree) Dion, Nathan (Whitley) Dion, Adam (Jessica) Pipe; châpâns: Linda MacDonald, Roland Dion, Joe Dion; great great châpân: Veronique Waskahat; Jameson will also be greatly missed by his many aunties, uncles, kôhkoms, mosôms, châpâns and relatives.

Wake, Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1:30 p.m., Kehewin Recreation Centre, Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Kehewin Recreation Centre, Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta with the Band Elders officiating. Pallbearers: Trenton Caleb Waskahat, Jimmy Paul-Badger, Jeff Cardinal, Keegan John. Final Resting Place, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta.
