Isabel "Bo" Hayes

With cherished memories, the family of Isabel "Bo" Hayes of Cold Lake, Alberta, formerly of Badger, Newfoundland is deeply saddened to announce her passing on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the age of 81 years.

The 3rd oldest of 17 children, “Bo” learned early on in life how to look after her siblings as a matriarch, a role she carried with her throughout her days…she was the ‘go to’ in the clan and was readily available to help anyone in need, a trait she owned for her entire life as a mother, friend, co-worker and employer. She is sadly missed by a large array of people who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. She passed away on Monday morning, and without question she was cooking a Jiggs dinner for those passed before her for supper on the same day. She was that person.

Isabel is survived by her children: Brian (Becky), Deborah; grandchildren: Joshua, Kelsie; treasured great granddaughter: Hannah; siblings: Frank, Terry, Damien, Jarrod, Neil, Tony, Marion, Theresa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family in both Alberta and Newfoundland.

Isabel was predeceased by her baby son Brian; beloved husband George; parents: Sylvester & Maude; siblings: Pauline, Jack, Paul, Bruce, Gerard, Justin, Joseph, Brendan.

As per Isabel's wishes, cremation has taken place.
