The family of Irene Novosiwsky are heartbroken, yet thankful for a life well lived, to announce the passing of their Mom, Baba, Baba G on May 9, 2026, just 6 weeks short of her 94th birthday.
Irene is lovingly remembered by her four children: Bob, Anita, Joyce (Ken), Chris; daughter-in-law: Bernie; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Mandy, Troy, Todd, Tyler (Janelle), Max (Melissa), Monica (Drake), Brayden (Alyssa), Shelby (Morgan); seven great-grandchildren: Chase, Jordyn, Iryana, Odin, Laney, Layton, Janie; two brothers: Gerald (Violet), Ernie (Mavis); sister: Lorraine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband: George (1986); son: Brent (2022); son-in-law: Eugene (2022); son-in-law: Jim (2025); sister: Audrey (Dean); father: Frank; mother: Mary.
Funeral Service Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Hamlin, Alberta with Right Reverend Protopresbyter John Lipinski officiating.
Final Resting Place, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Hamlin, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Irene can be made to St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Hamlin, Alberta.
