The family of Floyd Roland John of Edmonton, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce that the sun set for their beloved father, brother, uncle, mosôm, câpân and friend on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 59 years.
Floyd is lovingly survived by his son: Nathan Desjarlais; sisters: Linda John, Mildred John (Derek Jones); special sister friends: Amelia John, Hazel Ladouceur, Hermaline Wilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.
Floyd is going into the arms of his parents: David & Mary John; siblings: Clifford John, Ronald John, Gerald John, David John Jr., Alvina John, Hazel John, Anne John.
Wake, Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 2:30 p.m., Kehewin Band Hall, Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Bonnyville, Alberta at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Service, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., Kehewin Band Hall, Kehewin Cree Nation, Alberta with Elders officiating. Pallbearers: Dustin John, David John, Shayden John, Clifford John, Kole Bush, Kolin Bush. Honorary Pallbearers: Cree Summer Badger, Glen Badger, Jason Kowerchuk, Floyd Cardinal, Charles Matchee, Melvin John, Conrad Whitstone, Melvin Badger, Edward Gladue, Sammy John, his CC's and the members of Fort McKay who welcomed him with open arms as a part of their community.
