Eileen Marie (Tollefson) Boelstler

With cherished memories and much love, the family of Eileen Marie Boelstler (née Tollefson) of Cold Lake, Alberta announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and aunt on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the age of 90 years.

Eileen is lovingly survived by her children: Freya (Marc) Fontaine of Cold Lake, AB, Gilbert Boelstler of Cold Lake, AB; grandchildren: Devin (Sarah) Lupul of Cold Lake, AB, Jordan Lupul of Edmonton, AB; nieces: Charlotte Brosseau of Lessard, AB, Sharon Tollefson of Lessard, AB, Cheryl Martin of Bonnyville, AB; as well as many dear friends.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband: Emil Boelstler; parents: Gilbert & Emma Tollefson; brothers: Roy Tollefson, Conrad "Sonny" Tollefson.

Eileen will be greatly missed by her family and her friends, whom all held a special place in her heart. Her kindness and patience was an anchor and a comfort; she was nurturing and took care of everyone who surrounded her. Eileen's grandchildren will cherish the memory of how she always had homemade cookies for them and how she was always there to support them in any way. 

She made a home that was welcoming to everyone who knew her. No matter the day, her house was always filled with good food and friends. Eileen was a wonderful cook, baker and gardener; her food looked as beautiful as it tasted. She spent countless hours in her rock garden, it was always full of beautiful flowers and her vegetable garden kept her busy canning and freezing. 

A Celebration of Eileen's Life will take place later in the spring.
