Edward "Ed" Mercier

The family of Edward "Ed" Mercier of Bonnyville, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Monday, June 2, 2025 at the age of 90 years. 

 Ed will be dearly missed by his wife of 69 years, Vera Mercier; father of Lucy's children: Mitch Dallaire and their children: Erik Dallaire and his children: Madison (Logan), Larissa, Kara Dallaire (Davin), Catlan Dallaire (Rob); Maurice (Karen) Mercier and their children: Kristen (Tyler) Kress and their children: Theo & Pascale, Kelsey (Jon) Kalinski and their children: Olivia, Nora, Clara; Gail (Edmond) Brosseau and their children: Jasmin Gouliquer, the father of their children: Andy and their children: Kaylie & Cooper, Paul Brosseau and his daughter: Cadence; Joanne (Walter) Shutter and their daughter: Courtney (Andrew);  Allen (Stacy) Mercier and their children: Matthew (Sydney) & Sarah.

Ed will also be dearly missed by his brother: George (Elaine) Mercier; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to mention.

Edward is predeceased by his daughter: Lucy Mercier; brother: Denis Mercier; baby sister: Lucy Adele; parents: Gerard & Lucille Mercier; parents-in-law: John & Bernice Solowoniuk.

Celebration of Life, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bonnyville Seniors Drop- in Centre, Bonnyville, Alberta with Rev. Steven Sparks officiating.

Ed's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre for their extraordinary care of Ed during his time there.
