Dorothy Janzen Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Dorothy Ida Janzen of Cold Lake, AB announces her passing on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the age of 87 years, three days shy of her 88 birthday.
Dorothy is lovingly survived by her three children: Lois (Peter) Ulfsten, Rod (Peggy) McFadyen, Greg (Anna) Janzen; son-in-law: Randy Ruggles; eleven grandchildren: Tim (Carrie) Ulfsten, Kyle Ulfsten, Carmen (Drew) Bonin, Andrew (Monique) McFadyen, Brad Janzen, Dylan Janzen, Fox Richmond, Wyatt Richmond, Logan Richmond, Mark (Keri) Ruggles, Jack (Jessica) Ruggles; fourteen great grandchildren: Jade, Taryn, Shane, Zack, Megan, Dana, Darcy, Emery, Jacob, Myles, Raelynn, Eli, Scarlet, Lila; brother: Ken (Isabel) Skjersven; two sisters: Mable (Joe) Close, Grace Marsh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband: Neil McFadyen; second husband: Peter Janzen; daughter: Esther Ruggles; five sisters: Helen, Betty, Irene, Mary, Elsie; three brothers: Harold, George, Norm.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Riverhurst Community Hall, Riverhurst, AB.
Memorial tributes in memory of Dorothy may be made to Cold Lake Lodge, Recreation Dept, 120 – 16 street, Cold Lake, AB T9M 0M1.
