Donald "Jim" Skinner

Jim (Donald) Skinner, 87, of Cold Lake, Alberta, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born in 1937 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1957 where he served for 26 years both in Canada and Germany. His love of hockey was only surpassed by his hatred for the Edmonton Oilers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Skinner, his children Jonathan and Chad (and fiancée, Kyla Peters) and his brother Brad (and wife, Michelle) Skinner.

He is predeceased by his mother and father, Pinky and Jim Skinner, his half-brother Edwin Skinner, and mother and father-in-law, Betty and Ken Nelson.

Service of Remembrance, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Harbour Light Alliance Church, 602-10 Street, Cold Lake, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homes for Heroes, a charity that supports veterans facing homelessness.
