Obituary
The family is saddened to announce that Dominique Eden Kahpoonapit “Wapiskà Kihêw” of Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan was found on May 6, 2023, after he went missing on December 11, 2022, one day after turning 20 years of age.
Dominique is lovingly survived by his grandparents: Judith Kahpoonapit, Ernest Sundown, Sandy Kahpeepatow, Moise Littlespruce, Joseph Whitehead; brother: Desmond Kahpoonapit; sisters: Shoralene Kahpoonapit, Nakeslakesha Kahpoonapit; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Dominique was predeceased by his parents: Ethan Kahpeepatow & Tracy Khpoonapit; aunt: Jade Kahpoonapit; uncle: Jarid Kahpoonapit; great grandparents: Jim & Marie Kahpoonapit, Marie Louise Kahpeepatow, Stanley Komada.
Wake, Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chief Napew Memorial School Gymnasium, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. (leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake at 10:00 a.m.)
Funeral Service, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chief Napew Memorial School Gymnasium, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan with Band Elders officiating.
