With saddened hearts, the family of Derek Allan Hunter of Edmonton, Alberta regretfully announce that the sun set for him on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the age of 52 years.

Derek is lovingly survived by his wife: Norma Jean Chalifoux; children: Alexandria Marie Hunter, Destiney Angel Hunter, Justice Faith Hunter, Cashton Hunter "Atikat"; mother: Violet "Vi" Jackson; step father: Philip Hunter; step children: Cory Chalifoux, Kyle Chalifoux (Billiejean), Kyanna Chalifoux, Lana Chalifoux, Louann Chalifoux; grandchildren: Devon, Deshawn, Drevyn, Denzel, Shayden, Waylon, Scarlett, Sireen; siblings: Brett Jackson (Stanley), Gilbert J. Hunter; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends.

Derek was predeceased by his grandchildren: Shanice Chalifoux, Darion Chalifoux; maternal grandparents: Tony & Elizabeth Berard; paternal great grandparents: Steve & Alice Whitford.
