With grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Dennis Roger Dube of Cold Lake, Alberta regretfully announce the unexpected passing of their beloved husband, father and brother on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the age of 78 years.

Dennis was a man of strength, resilience and dedication. He and his wife, Diane, built a beautiful life together in Cold Lake, raising their son and cherishing 55 years of marriage. He founded Double D Bobcat Services & Contracting Ltd., building the company with hard work and determination. Dennis loved working, and along with operating his bobcat, he also enjoyed competing in team penning and team sorting.

Leaving to mourn a lifetime of memories is his wife: Diane Dube of Cold Lake, AB; son: Dean Dube of Cold Lake, AB; brothers: Leslie (Shirley) Dube, Alvin (Mary) Dube; sisters-in-law: Darlene (Rob) Self, Helen Dube; brother-in-law: Danny Schoonbaert; his beloved blue heeler: Spur; Dennis also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents: Ziphere & Harriet Dube; brothers: Maurice Dube, Murray (Marg) Dube; sister: Rosemarie Hilsendager; parents-in-law: Albert & Adrienne Schoonbaert; brother-in-law: Dale Schoonbaert.

A Celebration of the Life & Legacy of Dennis will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cold Lake Agricultural Society, Cold Lake, Alberts with Wayne Boyd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Dennis may be sent to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 144 – 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB T6H 5G8.
