Darcy Wade Tilley

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Darcy Wade Tilley announces his sudden and unexpected passing on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at a very young age of 60 years.

Darcy was born, June 13, 1962 to Clarence and Elsie Tilley.  He met and married his lifelong soulmate, Leanne Bergen after his family moved to Sangudo.  Darcy and Leanne moved to Bonnyville in 1984 where they raised their two children, Kate and Douglas.

Darcy worked at Ducharme Motors for 27 years filling the roles of Mechanic, Service Manager and then General Manager of the Cold Lake Branch.  He left Ducharme Motors in 2011 to pursue his own business, Tilley Contracting where he constructed residential homes and from there started to specialize in the application of Spray Foam and Blown-in insulation.

Darcy is most well-known for his generosity and willingness to help others.  He gave freely of his time and resources to help anyone in need.  Above all, Darcy was a family man who enjoyed every minute with his kids, grandkids and their families.  He was a beloved Dad, respected and loved Uncle to 27 nieces and nephews, and Papa to five grandchildren, Malia, Quinn and Grayson Nguy and Benjamin and Ryker Tilley.  He loved spoiling his grandchildren who will miss him dearly, along with all who knew him.

Darcy is predeceased by his parents: Clarence & Elsie Tilley; brother: Stuart Tilley; along with numerous extended family members.

Darcy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Leanne of Bonnyville, AB; daughter: Kate (Lee) Nguy of Edmonton, AB; son: Douglas Tilley of Bonnyville, AB; five grandchildren: Malia Nguy, Quinn Nguy, Grayson Nguy, Ben Tilley, Ryker Tilley; two sisters: Tammy (Al) Culley of Sangudo, AB, Shannon Tilley of Edmonton, AB; brother: Warren (Kim) Tilley of Grand Prairie, AB; 27 nieces & nephews; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law; as well as much loved fur babies: Tika, Nala, Ella, Jersey.

Funeral Service, Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., St. Louis Parish Hall, Bonnyville, AB with Lloyd Brown officiating. A live-stream of the service will be available here on our website, just below the service information. A recording of the service will also be made available. Honorary Urn Bearers: Joe Tilley, Bo Tilley, Jesse Culley, Carl Bergen, Myles Morrison, Ken Landry.

The Tilley family would like to thank the staff at the Bonnyville Health Centre for the fast and complete care they provided in their time of need.
