With fond memories and grateful hearts for a life well lived, the family of Cora Elizabeth Nelson of Sherwood Park, Alberta announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the age of 98 years.
Cora will be forever remembered by her husband of 26 years: Lester Nelson of Sherwood Park; two sons: Norman (Vivian) Nelson of Cold Lake, Lyle Nelson of Lutselk’e, NWT; four daughters: Fern Nelson of Cold Lake, Marjorie (Bill) Somers of Winnipeg, Faye (Jim) Skinner of Cold Lake, Carol (Borden) Kasper of Cold Lake; brother: Ralph (Maxime) McCann of Westlock; sister: Marion Hensch of Fawcett, AB; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Cora is predeceased by her 1st husband: Kenneth Nelson; parents: Samuel & Evelyn McCann; sister: Margaret (Bill) Alexander; five brothers: Harry (Germaine) McCann, Tom (Irene) McCann, Bill (Margaret) McCann, John (Alice) McCann, Hugh (Joan) McCann; brother-in-law: Rhinie Hensch.
Celebration of Life, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., Harbour Light Alliance Church, Cold Lake, AB with Pastor Mark McMillan officiating. Final resting place, Lakeview Cemetery, Cold Lake, AB.
