As they reflect on a lifetime of beautiful memories, the family of Claire Fortier of Bonnyville, Alberta sadly announce the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother on Monday May 4, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

Claire is lovingly survived by her husband of 62 years Armand Fortier; sons: Roger (Shannon) Fortier, Robert (Danette Bentley) Fortier; daughter in-law: Connie Fortier; grandchildren: Luke Fortier, Justin (Karisa) Fortier, Sydney Fortier, Megan (Braydyn) Shannon, Lauren Fortier (Seth Pevach); great grandchildren: Jack Fortier, Teddy Fortier, Grace Fortier, Ellie Shannon; brothers: Marty (Joanne) Michaud, Denis (Marie-Line) Michaud, Leo (Pat) Michaud; sister: Helene Michaud.

Claire is predeceased by her parents: Claude and Eveline Michaud; parents-in-law: Marcel & Germaine Fortier; son: Norman Fortier; great granddaughter: Mieya Fortier.

Service of Remembrance, Friday May 22, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. (Eulogy at 12:50 p.m.), St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Urnbearer: Luke Fortier; Honorary Urnbearers: Megan, Justin, Lauren, Sydney, Braydyn, Karisa, Seth.
