Charlie Smith Obituary
With broken hearts, the family of Charlie "Butch" Smith of Cherry Grove, Alberta is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the age of 71 years.
Charlie is lovingly survived by his wife of 36 years: Kay (née Ogilvie) Smith; children: Kenna (Michael) Wiebe, Melanie (Kyle) Nash, Gerald Smith; cherished grandchildren: Lena, Trevor and Deklan Wiebe, Lucas and Jackson Nash; sister: Ethel (Don) Vogel; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents: Gerald and Dolly; brothers: Roy and Ralph Smith.
Funeral Service, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Cherry Grove Community Hall, Cherry Grove, Alberta with Su Balog officiating. For those wishing to pay their respects, a viewing will take place from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Gerry L'Heureux, Bob Sales, Ron Pischke, Mike Wiebe, Kyle Nash, Mike Balog. Cremation to follow.
