With heavy hearts, the family of Brent Allan Makokis of Goodfish Lake, Alberta sadly announce his passing on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the age of 42 years.
Brent is lovingly survived by his son: Rayden Stamp; mother: Doreen Makokis; siblings: David, Leo Daniel; adopted siblings: Brian, Joey, Edith, Victoria, Stanley, Mackenzie; nieces: Madison, Meadow, Roxanne, Cassandra, Dionne; nephew: Zane; special friend: Alice Anderson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, special nieces & nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Brent is predeceased by his father: Allan Makokis; traditionally adopted siblings: Fred, Darcy, Morgan; grandparents: Alphonse & Margaret Makokis, Marcus & Florence Sparklingeyes.
Wake, Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta, leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, St. Paul, Alberta at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service, Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., Goodfish Lake Cultural Centre, Goodfish Lake, Alberta with Pastor Frank Ward officiating. Pallbearers: Ryan Cardinal, Blake Collins, Joe Memnook, Dexter Whitford, Mitch Makokis, Ryan Jackson, Beau Sparklingeyes, Bradley Sparklingeyes, Dean Memnook, Clarence Sparklingeyes. Honorary Pallbearers: all Brent’s work, golf & billiard buddies. Final Resting Place, Protestant Cemetery, Goodfish Lake, Alberta.
