The family of Albert “Bert” Joseph Paul Bordeleau of Bonnyville Alberta sadly share his passing on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the age of 55 years. Bert was born June 18, 1970 to Albert S. and Alice M. J. Bordeleau and is the father of Gwendolyn Ruth.
Bert built his life around providing for his family and himself, developing his education and careers. He had previously worked as a glass worker in the Lakeland area and as a power engineer. When Bert was in school, he achieved top marks for all of Alberta during his Fourth Year Glass Worker Apprenticeship Program in 1993. Bert also obtained top marks with a 4.0 grade point average for the Heavy Oil Operations Technician Program during 1996-97. He was a father who made the effort, and tried.
Bert is lovingly remembered by his daughter: Gwendolyn Ruth; siblings: Hélène Severyn (Ray Prevost), Georges (Margo) Bordeleau, Robert (Evelyn) Bordeleau, Rita (Brian) Babb, Marcel (Suzanne) Bordeleau, Pierre Bordeleau, Linda Bordeleau; and remembered by his cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Bert is predeceased by his parents: Alice & Albert Bordeleau; sister: Gisele (Robert “Bob”) Kleinmann; brother-in-law: Daniel “Danny” Severyn.
Funeral Service, Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, Alberta with Father Rene Realuyo officiating. Pallbearers: Christopher Kleinmann, Jason Babb, Keith Bordeleau, Ryan Bordeleau, Chad Bordeleau, Patrick Severyn. Final Resting Place, Holy Family Cemetery, Bonnyville, Alberta.
